Trip to Essex coast

We met up with Noel and Jude, former brothers of the Melanesian Brotherhood when we went to see Father Richard Carter at St. Martin in the Fields. After a lovely evening at Richards a few weeks later we decided to go on a trip to some a couple of our favourite places out on the Essex coast...

Mersey Island

Our first stop was Mersey Island to a fish restaraunt by the sea. We feasted on lobster, crab, prawns, mussels, oysters and lots of other fish - just like in the Solomons!

St. Peter in the Wall, Bradwell

We then went on to one of the oldest churches in the country. St. Peters was built in 654 AD by St Cedd of Lindisfarne, using bricks and stone from the ruined Roman fort of Othona on the coast of Essex.

we then braced ourselves for a short brisk walk to the coast to see the sea...

... before heading home to watch the football at our local, back in London! A great day and we hope to have a few more while we are still in town!
